Alright, back at it, good morning I guess it’s 3:30 AM here and I’m currently waiting on my laundry because I left it for last minute…silly me (I do that a lot). I want this post to be short but full (get it?) FOOD. In my opinion, THE most important puzzle to EVERYTHING. I promise you, if you put down that bag of chips and replace that cup of Mountain Dew for water, you will be one step closer to success. I know, you’re probably thinking that’s b.s. but let me explain. Ever noticed any YouTuber you follow or any actor, celebrity, social media superstar that doesn’t have perfect skin, hair, teeth etc.? Well, I’m sure you’re thinking about one and maybe you found one, but I’m talking about the bigger picture and I promise you the ratio of healthy to unhealthy successful people is at least 8:1. These people, somewhere along their own “road to success” realized that if I want to be someone, I have to look the part. If I want to show up to that interview and secure my job, I need to have glowing healthy skin, I need to knock everyone on their ass and take that job before I’m even asked questions. Where did they start? With food.
Before you close my site because you’re thinking of almonds and quinoa with broccoli and you know for sure you can’t follow a diet like that, let me tell you that that is definitely not what I’m promoting here, so just trust me…you’ll be happier in a bit.
I’m promising you a lot but I’m just certain about this topic because its personally changed my life a little. Yeah I said a little, I won’t be like everyone else out there and say, “It’s changed my life drastically”, (I’m only 20 and I’ve been eating healthy for about 2 years so I’ll stick to being honest). Alright on with it. Any lotion or skin product or makeup, beauty creams, anything out there will not outdo a healthy diet. An individual with a healthy diet will ALWAYS outlook (if you will) an unhealthy individual that uses beauty products. I don’t care if they use a lotion made from the ass of an angel with fairy dust mixed in, healthy food beats all. Okay now let me explain the diet I’m thinking of. Of course I’m not ruling out the almonds and quinoa and broccoli, anyone with a half a brain knows that’s the healthiest and if that’s for you, more power to you. But chances are it’s not so here’s my proposition.
I want everyone to get something out of my post. No, I’m not only talking about a message, more like 80% message/knowledge, 20% plan. Every post of mine has a plan of action and this post has this plan. If you were like me 2 years ago, snacking on chocolate, drinking soda, eating chips and then of course eating whatever you’re mom prepared or if you’re living alone just the first part, then you’re “homework” is one of two choices. 1: Get out that random number generator, with a range of 1-5 and whatever number you get, that’s the amount of broccoli pieces or spinach leaves or apple slices etc. you’ll add THIS WEEK. Yes it’s not daily, it’s weekly. If you want a smaller easier step, go with the next option. 2. Get out that same number generator, same range, but this time whatever number you get is the number of M&Ms or chips or Raisinets (my personal favorite) you’ll throw in the garbage as oppose to eating.
Or since we’re all just being very honest here you can choose option 3 and keep eating, hey you paid for it. However, you read this and so I have successfully planted in your brain, a thought. Something you won’t forget and something you’ll think about the next time you’re snacking on M&Ms or Raisinets. You definitely won’t forget know because I told you you won’t forget and so now you’ll be reminded of it. This is the smallest tiniest step I could possibly think of. If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work, we’ll have to think of something else, no harm done, we’re all human. The purpose of this blog is to understand that and to overcome any human obstacles on our road to success. But that concludes this little 4:00 AM rant; I have to get my laundry out of the washing machine and get some sleep, I have a Pirates Game to attend in 8 hours for a Best Buddies event (I’ll let you look that up) and so I have to get some sleep. I’ll definitely come back to this subject though, as a bodybuilder, food is my life, but that’s a topic for another day…
