The second reason you’re unhappy ft. the Solution

—————————————————————Reason————————————————————–

You fail to realize how much control you really do have over your life.

—————————————————Relatable explanation————————————————–

You wake up in the morning and notice new pimples have appeared over night.

Then, you go to the bathroom and check your weight on the scale. Two pounds heavier.

Next, you go to the kitchen and see a sink full of dirty dishes.

Lastly, you come back to your room and realize just how dirty it is.

We’ve all had these types of days and honestly, it’s the worse.

Those days when everything in life seems to be working against you. Life sucks huh.

Of course it does. When a family member or your dog dies or when you lose your job.

But when your dishes aren’t clean?

Or when your acne is acting up?

Individually, these are problems we face on daily basis and they aren’t bad at all.

Water to flush the toxins out of your body and 15 minutes in the kitchen. Piece of cake.

But together? Waking up to those four scenarios above, all at once?…jeez.

That’s enough to make anyone think life sucks.

Enough to make anyone depressed and unhappy and angry…you name it.

And to think, all of it could’ve been avoided if…

You chose cashews over a bag of Doritos

You cleaned your dishes after your meal

You spent 5 minutes a day, just organizing your room

Crazy, isn’t it?

Crazy how avoidable it all is, how much control we really do have over our lives…

————————————————————-SOLUTION———————————————————-

You know yourself better than everyone else.

And you have a new week ahead of you.

Whenever you do something today, ask yourself if there’s a smarter way.

If someone consistently frustrates you, figure out what you can change.

Ask yourself if there’s a less riskier way. A way that won’t potentially frustrate you.

Take those extra seconds to make the smarter decision and be more in control.

Eventually, you’ll apply the same principle with the bigger decisions in life 🙂

      1. I have no idea. I signed up for Twitter a very long time ago and I had some gluten free recipes but other than that I have not really used it. I signed up again a couple months ago but I don’t really even know how to use it.

  1. It’s true, taking just a little bit of initiative and not pushing the blame off to someone else can help you gain a much bigger sense of control. Owning the responsibility of, “I can make smarter choices to make my life better.” is a pretty enlightened insight!

  2. Hi, yes great post (I like the layout – easy to read especially if you are in rush!) 😉 and I agree. We need to think we are in control and our mindset is the key to happiness rather than circumstances and whatever is happening to us. It was actually found that even after a very negative or very positive event we go back to our relatively stable level of happiness after sometime, usually a year. We tend to overestimate how different events will or can impact our life.

    1. Wow interesting! I like how you mentioned a negative or positive event, that heavily outlines the truth in it. Thanks for stopping by and lending your throughs, I appreciate it 🙂
