As you continue to gain followers and make a name for yourself, you have an obligation to your fan base and readers.
Or rather let’s call it a promise. *pinky promise*
The most important promise you have to make as a writer is (repeat after me):
“No matter where, no matter what time, no matter what I’m doing, when an idea hits me, I must jot it down somewhere”.
Any idea that you think has potential. Any idea that you would love writing about or perfectly reflects how you feel or has an important message. Save. It.Β
Now let me clarify. It does not have to turn into a post!
Not all your ideas need to! I have about 20 drafts saved with weird wacky ideas that some day might get published but for now are just thoughts/blueprints.
The important thing is that you save it because if you don’t, it might be lost forever.Β
And that one idea may have been THE post that gets shared on a major siteΒ ORΒ gets noticed by a famous writer, who loves your content.
With more followers/readers, you become a leader. Promise them this π

That is the beautiful irony of control. We have to let go of it β to find it. In the simplest of places, this moment. Welcoming it, breathing into it. Whatever is present, is enough. πΊπ

Completely agree. We just need to allow life to fall into place for us π

I love this because the amount of drafts I have that are scribbled with meaningless words that cropped from a small idea but will never be published, its ridiculous!

It’s also brilliant. When that dreaded day of writer’s block comes…you’ll have an entire arsenal to fetch ideas from π Thanks for taking the time to stop by π

Thank you for this! I literally just shared something similar to this with my creative writing students. Trusting that inner voice and not dismissing or talking ourselves out of ideas that happen to come is a must for writers. A lot of ideas for me come when I’m not focused on the writing task at hand…

Exactly! Ideas come in the weirdest of times and we just have to trust them and allow them to blossom into something bigger π I’m honored to have one of my posts read by a teacher haha π Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment π

I do the same. Always keep a diary (even an online one will do just fine). And in addition to just jotting down the idea, I also try to write down the date, and the context in which I came across that idea – what triggered me to that one thought. I think it could help you be more aware and open to more new ideas in similar contexts in the future.

Amazing! It’s definitely not easy though, it’s like a constant test of how bad you want to inspire others and make change with your writing. I’m glad you have it figured out though π
